reinterpreting footage in fcp

ok, I'm on my iPhone in the middle of nowhere so bear with me... Were shooting a short on my hvx, and a handful of the footage we shot this morning was shot in 30p, but in film cam mode, running at 24fps, which was the frame rate we wanted. So when I bring it into final cut, it plays like it should (if I set it up that way intentionally) like undercranked 30 p footage, but how do I get it to just play at 24 fps, without reinterpretting the footage in after effects or something? It was my mistake as it has always been in 24 pn mode until I helped on a shoot that was 30p and I forgot to change the setting back until after we'd shot about 15-20 minutes of footage. I know I could do it with ae but it seems like i remember there being a way to do it in fcp that's simply escaping me at the moment. Any help?

use cinema tools and conform the footage to 23.98. this doesn't affect the footage, only the data tags. in other words it kinda tricks FCP into thinking it was shot that way so if you throw it on a 24p timeline it will play like you want it to.

if you have a ton of shots there is a batch conform feature that will do all of them at once.
