Regenerating or fixing missing proxy files?

I'm quite sure I selected create proxy files when I imported but somehow I'm getting missing proxy files.
How do I regenerate these or create them in the first place? Is there a quick fix?

I did a manual search and I can see my proxy files. Why can't FCP see them?

Did some research and found Administration Server, Final Cut Server which recommends analyze and fix, but that's taking so long, and I'm not even sure if that's doing the right thing.

Final Cut Server's manual won't tell you anything about Final Cut Pro. Two totally different products.

How exactly did you import the clips into Final Cut Pro X?
Where exactly are your proxies?

You can right-click anything in the Event Browser and chose to Analyze And Transcode again at any time.

You need to switch the whole Event to Proxy:
Preferences-Playback-Use proxy

And if you miss some you need (as BenB suggested) to: select all - right click - Transcode - create proxy
