reformatting 4x3

hello. I'm an Avid editor but just got FCP at home for a doc project I've been working on. Most of the footage was shot 16x9 stretch mode on the DVX100a...but some of the footage from 3 years ago was shot in 4x3. In Avid there's a reformat tool for this. What's the best way to reformat the 4x3 footage to 16x9 in FCP?? Thanks.
 
Just drop it in and then adjust with the aspect ratio and scale settings in the motion tab. Either it will be windowboxed or scaled and reframed by you.
