Reel Spidey Stunts

[Doddle Guys]

Footage leaked from the new Spider-man movie of him actually web swinging over a busy highway, this film looks like it's going to blow the old ones out of the water. It's nice to see director Marc Webb actual shooting footage instead of green screening it, do you think it is important to actual shoot these types of scenes? or do you think green screen is sufficient?

As an old analog effects hand, I'm always impressed when something can be accomplished in-camera. Even if in-camera is just some plate elements. The fully-CG scenes of Spiderman over the city in the previous films never really sold me.

Their mentality in using the CG so much was that the swinging needed to be fantastical...and no way could they do it justice in camera (logistics as well). But it's always funny to me how their attempt to make something fantastic and move a camera in a way it wouldn't normally move if it was really shot aids in how fake it looks.

In this new BTS footage it looked bad when he was swinging randomly,i dont like it,i prefere raimi spider-man and new suit looks like it was made for borat.Nothing to be excited about.
