Redrockmicro's pistol grip rig for BMPC: wish they made one for the GH4 and A7s

I just came across this pistol grip rig idea on redsharknews.com for the BlackMagic Production Camera:

I just chatted with a Redrock Micro rep and asked him if they had plans for making a similar rig for the A7s and GH4. Not as of yet, but they'll consider it pending enough demand.

I wish something like this existed for the A7s. It's always been my dream to have a pistol rig setup. Makes me nostalgic for my father's 1970s 8mm Kodak camera.
 
I ordered this for the Pocket, but ended up canceling my order because it was taking a bit too long to ship..but still may get it one day. The 3x magnification sounds good and I can see the trigger for rec being very convenient with the pistol.
 
Except some of us older folks who have used pistol grips with our Bolex and the like remember how much shooting like that sucked. All this retro fad stuff cracks me up.

That was with the Bolex though. The BMPCC with a grip like that and a viewfinder would be much lighter and having that extra contact point would allow for steadier shooting. This is, of course, in theory anyway =)
 
Thanks everybody. Thanks for the link RHudson. I just wonder if that includes the NEX Line. They mention all the Alpha cameras but NEX models aren't mentioned. Also in the case of the A7 , would it only allow you control over the shutter button and not the movie button?
