Hey Guys

I've had a chance to play around with the HVX the last few weeks and i loved what it could do, but this weekend will be the first time i'll be playing with lenses on the HVX. I'll be using the RedRock with a few Nikon prime lenses.

my question is there anything about your experience with the RedRock that you can pass on to someone giving it a shot for the first time? Like anytype of lose in F-stop, because of the extra lens....i don't know?

any feedback will be much appreciated,

thanks

Canuck

take some extra time (a day if possible) to get the adapter fit to the camera and tested out - last thing you want is to be fidgeting with it on set because you didn't take the time to do it before hand. I think light loss is still around 1 stop to 1.5 stops of - use as fast of lens as possible, but overall, you should be fine - it's a good piece of hardware.

unless there is a new ground glass light loss for me was about 1.5 to 2 stops.need alot of light and the fastest lenses you can get,but the bokeh is beautiful.

You're going to love what that thing can do! We just shot for the first time last weekend and the footage was incredible. But like everyone else says, make sure you have it setup carefully before you get out there. Follow the tutorials provided in the Red Rock forums. Have fun!
