(PS admin, im not sure if this is the right spot to post this or not, but forgive me if it isnt. i just thought i would share the stoke of a new indie priced gadget to help everyone out in their 35mm adapter projects and what not).

Why get on a list and wait for a follow focus? The indiFOCUS is shipping now, costs $299.99 plus shipping. If you have the M2 adaptor and want a geared version, it is $389 with three lens gears included. The indiFOCUS has been shipping since October, and the longest wait period has been three days until the product was shipped. We have an 18" whip now available. It costs $30.

If you use just the stock lenses of the DVX, Xl2, or any of the Sony's, then the standard indiFOCUS is what you'll need. If you are using a DOF adaptor, then the geared version is more appropriate.

The indiFOCUS is modular in nature, so that if you get a DOF adaptor in the future, you can upgrade by purchasing the gear module and lens gears. The change-over takes approximately 30 seconds with an included allen wrench. The friction wheel is included in the geared version.

I want to thank everyone that has purchased the indiFOCUS, and also the beta testers that have been using it for the past 3+ months.

im in focus this's boat as well. the Indifocus is where its at. The new geared version is going to be quite amazing as well. The thing you can't beat either is customer service, just great to work with.

I too want to purchase the indi focus. Do you package it with the camera plate and the 15 inch rods. At this time, I would be interested in the following setup. I have a big body bogen tripod with slide off quick release.. So I'm interested in a "pocketbook friendly" camera plate, rod support, follow focus and a Mattebox.. but that's if I have the money.

What do you recommend? Could the indi focus, camera plate and rods be gotten for about $500. I have a credit card aching to purchase this whole package from one place as soon as I get confirmation that the HVX is on it's way to my sweaty hands... and yes I've been having dreams and for once not about a hot chick.. but cameras. I just hope I don't go blind and/or get hairy palms from my fanaticsm.

Any and all info on the rods and follow focus is cool. I too like the functionality and the price on this indi focus.

It'll be out in a month huh??? sure sounds familiar.
yes it sounds familiar, but if you take a moment to read the bulletin for it, it all makes sense why there should be no delays. most of the M2 parts are outsourced from over seas and what not, all of the microfollowfocus parts will be sourced from the USA. They will be built before they even start making people pay, which is cool too. so if you wanna back out, no big deal.

thanks for posting about your follow focus "Focus This!" but maybe this thread should be split or you should start a new thread, being this confuses the nature of what item is being talked about and doesnt help when people use the search function on this message board to look for particular items (such as the MicroFollowFocus, indiFOCUS, the MPFF, or follow focus in general). i'm not looking to make enemies what so ever, so please dont think of it that way.

here is a review on the indiFOCUS used with the redrock micro M2 from an M2 adapter user: http://www.redrockmicro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=948
