Redrock Follow Focus system

I just received the Redrock follow focus, to go along with the M2 adapter and rails. The follow focus works beautifully. My question is whether any of you folks are using teh Redrock follow focus with non-M2 set ups. Eventually I won't be using the follow focus with the M2, but the Redrock follow focus doesn't seem to allow for vertical adjustment (to raise the follow focus gear up or down). It's currently perfectly aligned to connect with the gear when set at the height of the M2's lens mount. So...my question...what if you're using a camera with a lens mount that is taller or shorter than the M2? Curious how others are using this follow focus system with other gear. Cheers.

Hey Sean90201,

I like the RR FF set up. I use it mostly with my film camera(the one and only on this site) and can say that it does a good job. I will be putting it to the real test this weekend when I film. But so far so good. The camera I use it with is the Arri 16-S just so you can know that it works with that camera.

Can you adjust it on the horizontal? If you can then it is the same as adjusting on the vertical...

Duh! Soon as you said it, I'm like, uh...yeah...that's true. I can adjust it horizontally. And the closer to the lens it gets the "higher" it gets, and further away, the "lower" it gets. My mom is a liar. She said I was smart.

Thank you!

Looking forward to hearing about the results of your shoot with the new follow focus. I notice I get a much smoother rack focus if the teeth of the lens gear barely mesh with the teeth of the follow focus gear. If they mesh too much, focusing becomes stickier and not smooth. But with some room to breathe, the focusing is awesome.
