Anyone? It's in NYC this week and...is over 5 hrs for the trilogy, all in one sitting. That's like Götterdämmerung long. But I am very tempted to carve out a night this week to hit it up. Looks pretty spectacular.

Anyone seen this? Maybe at a Fest?

Finally got a chance to review "1974," the first installment in the Red Riding Trilogy. Impressive work, to say the least, especially the performances by Andrew Garfield and Sean Bean.

Interesting note…

The first film was shot on 16mm, the second ("1980") on 35mm and the third ("1983") on digital tech.

If the final film is as well-crafted and engrossing as the first two, this series will be a monumental achievement in crime dramas. And one that nobody really seems to care about.

Stephen, where are you seeing them? They came and went at IFC in NYC(missed them). I have them saved in my netflix queue...

They played here in Austin at Dobie Theaters down by the UT campus. Not the best place to see a movie.
