Red frame

Does anyone know what that red frame at the end of some clips on the timeline is all about? I never got it on my old machine but now I get it all the time on my new machine. My friend gets it, also. Would really like to know what causes it.

I've gotten that too, but it thankfully hasn't caused any problems.

A glitch I get sometimes is a video clip that will play video from ANOTHER CLIP at certain frames, can't remember if I recaptured or just covered it up

My friend who got it a lot also said that he thought it caused render problems if he didn't go in and shorten that clip to remove that red frame. Could it be something with the capture or the quantizing?
 
Yeah, I remember getting that other error on occasion, also. What I found it was doing was playing the clip from the trimmer instead of the timeline. Usually going into the trimmer and then back to the timeline fixed the problem.
 
Not quite the same as single frames playing in other clips but I just got a whole clip to disappear when rendering and simply get skipped but I found out it was from the reds being way out of the Vectroscope's area for reds.

I would love to find out what causes the red frame.
