Red Eye Wide Angle?

I have a Century optics .75 wide angle for my hvx

but I find that it is very heavy and big. I don't use the zoom through function
so I am wondering if the red eye wide angle ( http://www.red-eye.tv/ ) is as good except you cannot zoom through it.

I had a Red Eye for a while and have used these lenses quite a bit. They are plastic lenses but very good quality.

really? "plastic lens" & "quality" often don't go in the same sentence.

I just started at looking at these, but don't want something that'll make my HD footage look SD. does the picture quality really hold up?

Do you guys wear glasses? Most people have plastic lenses in their eyeglasses.

By the way, I've never used the Red Eye for anything other than DV. I'm doubting it'd be good enough for HD.
