I thought Total Recall could have been a better script, but that's for another thread.
I sat in the theater and thought, this looks fantastic! I loved the look of the movie. It had, IMO, beautiful skin tones and just really nice colors, DoF, overall just a great look. I went home and immediately looked up IMBD to see what camera was used and it was the Red Epic.
I['m not a Red fanboy. Horses for courses, whatever works, works. I liked Captain America, and that was shot on an Arri Alexa.
But I'm telling you that Total Recall was just a beautiful movie. I really think it was the color grading. THey didn't go for a teal/orange look like so many Hollywood movies. It was a much more natural organic looking color grade, if that makes sense for a sci fi movie.
Just wanted to say, well done Red.
