Recording Wedding Vows, Easiest way?

I'm shooting a wedding and the couple wants their vows recorded. I usually get away with just using music over the ceremony when i edit it. So this is my first time recording the vows. Im curious to know if anyone has any suggestions on whats the easiest way or a fairly simple way on how to accopmlish this. Would mic'ing the priest work? Do you recommend any mic to rent for this situation.

Any help or input would go a long way.

We usually put a wireless lapel mic on the groom. It's usually enough to pick up both of their vows as well as the priest.

As tarionyx says, your best bet is to put a wireless on the groom with the receiver going to one channel of your camera where you can monitor it (unless you have a dedicated recordist). As a backup I like to either mic the priest/minister with a second wireless or use a small recorder but occasionally you'll run into one who refuses to wear a mic. If the officiant is mic'd for house sound, you can also grab a feed off the board.

i think im leaning towards micing the groom. If hes ok with it, which i think he is. My friend suggested that i have a back up and connect a 2nd cam to the board and see how that comes out as well.

thanx for the suggestions.

any good wireless mics to keep in mind when i go to rent?

I only ever mic the groom with an Audio-Technica ATR35MW lav mic and I've always had clear sound even for outdoor weddings.
My only advice is to get a TxRx that is dual diversity or at least UHF - the VHF or FM ones are too intermittent with regard to static noise. It's not very professional to have to ask the couple to repeat the vows afterwards because of crappy equiment ;)
