Recording to a 3G ipod

this is definitely a unique way to go. However, if you look at other posts on that site, this is not the most stable way to record audio. If you need a clandestine way to record, maybe, but if you want professional audio, use pro audio equipment. I hope you do not think that I am "dissing" you, I am not. It is just that I have been involved in film and video for over 25 years and the less complicated you can make any part of the process the better. I use MD, however, I still sweat on the floor that the MDs are usable. DAT is a pro standard and even though may be relatively expensive, there is less sweating on the floor when using it. Bad audio is worse than bad visuals and screams to your audience, amateur. Relative to the cost associated to video, good, pro audio is worth it.

Good luck
