Sup, I have a JVC GRDVL120U MiniDV Digital CyberCam Video Camera, I'm about shooting me a basketball mixtape DVD.

I was wondering are they any good Recording Techniques, instead of using the hand strap on the side of the cam, holding it with both hands.

I'm not sure if im explaining this right?

The types of footage Im doing are interviews, During game footage.

What are the best recoring techinquies when recording Interviews when someone is standing up, and u are too.

THX.

What so you mean, you are tring to shoot like you have a 24P, I guess youre tring to say you want the shot to be interesting. One thing to shoot handeld and on the tripod, big difference is camera shake, ... With one camera shoot you could move your shot to a different perspective (move the tripod) The best way to shoot this is at least two cameras and capture two POV's at the same time. You could leave one stationary and the other you could move for inovative shots... Like body movements in and outs, (when you focus the target and without using the zoom. Move your body closer to the subject, then back in a smooth motion) Hopes this helps

He said he is doing interviews and he has just 1 cam, Byron.

Wri23, you asked if there are any good recording techiques other than holding your camera with both hands using hand strap... Well, naturally the other way is to place the camera on something. Tripod is the best bet. And people do not hold camera any special way when they shoot 24p, they just tend to pan/move it slower. And since you're doing interviews you're really best off using a tripod. Unless I missed something...
