Recording sounds in case I need ADR later?

I am going to use a boom connected directly to the HVX-200 for an interview.

I am thinking about recording some sound from the room in case I need to later do any ADR, so I can mix both the background sound with the ADR.

I am planning to just hold the boom in the same position as will be done doing the interview for about a minute while everyone is silent in the room.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for doing this?

Thanks.

Nope, no other suggestions. It's called room tone or ambient tone and is done on just about every film and video project (where they care about sound, anyway). If your setup changes dramatically, you may even want to do it for every setup.
