Recording multiple DVDs from live source

I had an unusual request from a client. They have an upcoming series of motivational seminars/speeches and they want to be able to sell a DVD copy to the audience afterward. Basically, as they leave the room.

I know this can be done with audio recordings (recording the live feed to multiple CDs) but I've never heard of it done with video.

Any thoughts? Does this service exist? Can you rent multi-rack DVD recorders and have 100 + copies available at the end of an event?

Has anyone else done this? Is there a stand-alone solution?

Thanks.

This can be done, but cost of 100 standalone burners and associated cabling, may take the gloss off your profit.
Better to use one dvd standalone to record to, and hire some disc duplication towers, they can burn and verify in about 7mins, anything can be achieved , but that all depends on your budget.
do your research with your budget in mind.

another suggestion might be to convince the customer that a better product could be delivered if you were to take the footage home, edit and title it, and have your copies made and prepackaged for a professional look. You could have buyers sign up and prepay for the DVD at the event, and then make it available at a later date for them to pick up, or have it shipped to them.
