Hi

A friend has given me this kit that he no longer uses
I just wanted to know if it's useful for vocals recording in a controlled enviroment or if it hasn't enough quality.

if it hasn't enough quality which mixer do you recommend for direct to computer recording (digital output firewire or usb)?

thanks

After reading all the threads that I can I understood that behringer isnt good enough for what I want to do (mostly film but also some direct sound mixing).

I was looking for a direct to computer recorder and I found this Alesis
just wnated to know if it has enough quality to use for film production in conbination with a good mic and also use it for direct mixing.

The other possibility is the yamaha MW10C
Which of this two do you recommend?
thanks for your inputs

Hm,
you get it for free and considering your "first greenscreen project", it will serve you well for a start...
For some voice over that is, or are you planning to do anything else with it...?

I'll be doing some voice overs, ADR, live direct sound for small theater shows and direct to pc recording with 2 to 3 mics.

well after doing some research I am leaning towards the tapco link usb for analog to computer and the tapco mix 120 or 100 for mixing (about 300$ with shipping).

I heard good reviews (at least better than yamaha and alesis at this price point) about tapco so what do you think about this pair?

well, finally I decided to go with the tapco usb link and the mix100. i also bought the rode ntg-2 mic.

My first impression about the usb link is really good great quality for voice overs and with the rode mic and a controlled enviroment you can do great things.
