i actually post something about this in another forum but it lead itself here now.
im looking for a way to run off 100's of hours of hdv footage downconverted to widescreen sd. i figured id take a hd camcorder play it into the dvd recorder (letting the camera do the down conversion) simple enough!
the problem is dvd recorder does not record any sort of anamorphic or ws flag to tell the signal to letter box it when played on a 4:3 tv. i need my final product to be able to be view properly on 4:3 and 16:9 tv's
ive googled for hours and called b&h, i cannot find one stand alone dvd recorder atht will flag the signal and record it properly, does anyone know of any options here
