recorder?

Any ideas how to record sound efx out in the field. Some say to use the camera itself, and others say a recorder or a mini disc recorder. Any ideas??? How doess the one below (LInk) look from B&H? Thanks!

It depends on your budget. If you have limited funds, I would suggest spending money on a very good quality mic and using the camera rather than a lower quality mic and a cheap external recorder. The analog to digital converters are what will make the difference, so compare the specs of the cameras to the external recorders converters.

I own a Me66 Sennheiser. The DVX and a VX2000.
