I was editing a few projects on my MBP's hard drive, and today I got a new FW800 drive so I could offload the media. I moved everything in the Capture Scratch on the MBP to the Capture Scratch on the external drive. Opened project files again, and tried to reconnect media - and then the problem begins...
In the Reconnect Media dialog box, it correctly identifies the offline clips, and then I point it to the new location (I have done this plenty before without trouble). BUT, instead of the clip moving to the bottom portion of the dialog box (the 'Files Located' area), it just disappears fro the top('Files to Connect'). If I tell it reconnect all the media with the same relative path, all the clips disappear from the top and never make it to the bottom of the window. So now I can't end the process by clicking on Connect. I have to click Cancel as it is the only option, and then my media is still offline.
I feel a little bit like I am going crazy today! Anybody understand what I am saying? I can post screenshots if this is unclear, but I'm pretty sure you will know what I am saying if you use the Reconnect Media dialog in FCP 6.0.2
