Recommended workflow?

I have recently recorded a theatre play with 3 cameras. Each cam was connected to one external microphone, covering part of the stage. I'll have to use the sound from all cameras.

Problem is that each audio track is polluted with terrible hiss-type noise coming from the stage speakers.

What would be the best FCP workflow? First the multicam edit and than noise cleanup? Or first cleaning the noise on each clip (3 long clips, one from each cam) and than doing the multicam edit?

Or maybe some better idea?

Thanks in advance!

You can make the audio source switch as you switch the video source using multiclip.. I don't remember exactly how but it is doable. However, I'd rather put some more effort into it and first cut a multicam edit with only one audio source, and then add the soundtracks from the other cameras on separate audio tracks. Now just cut it to match the cameras, add transitions etc, and finally, send your audio to Soundtrack and clean up your audio ;)
