Recommended v-lock batteries for Litepanels Astra

Can anyone recommend v-lock batteries for a Litepanels Astra Bi-Color powerful enough for using it at full power? Under 100Wh for flying would be helpful.

We've been using the IDX brand batteries and chargers for years, always had good life and good service so far. What is the draw on those panels?

Yeah IDX tend to be good in my experience. The power draw is 110W maximum, so looking for something that's powerful enough for that but ideally that is safe to fly with.

The smallest they now list is the 90 Wh which they say is good for 10 amps or 110 watts, I think this is their smallest choice. You could beat the weight a little by building you own packs out of LiPo soft packs without a case (RC hobby packs).

They used to have a smaller 70Wh, but it was not recommended for use with lights.

If you were talking about transporting on an airplane, then this might be what you want. Not sure how the cartridge gets around the regulations, but it seems to do so.

That's an interesting solution. I think I may go with the E-HL9S as they're a bit more lightweight. Shame they don't have a d-tap out though

I've been using Lanpart VB-150 at full power with no issues. Like gkantziper said, many others are way overpriced.

You need a high load battery to get 100% full power out of the Astras. I use the IDX E-HL 10DS 96Wh and they work great.

I use Anton Bauer Digital 90 batteries with my Astras. It runs at full power as far as I can tell. Probably about 50 minutes at full power, with the amount of time it runs being mostly based on the wattage of the battery and not as much the name brand, I believe. The Digital 90s also are available in V-mount.
