Recommended filters for feature shoot

I will be shooting a featuring with an HVX200 later in the summer. I have an Indie Snap Matte Box which take 4x4, 4x5, and 4x6 filters. The feature is about 75% indoors and 25% outdoors. The HVX200 has ND 1/8 and ND 1/64, which I understand to be approximately 3 stops and 6 stops. What filters should I get for the shoot?

I currently have these on my list:

Schneider DS44K100 4x4 Filter Kit (ND .9, Tru-Polarizer Circular, Black Frost 1/2
Schneider 68040344 4x4 Neutral Density .3 Filter
Schneider 68040644 4x4 Neutral Density .6 Filter
Schneider 68041244 4x4 Neutral Density 1.2 Filter
Schneider 68050544 4x4 Grad. Soft Edge Neutral Density .3 Filter
Schneider 68050644 4x4 Grad. Soft Edge Neutral Density .6 Filter
Schneider 68050744 4x4 Grad. Soft Edge Neutral Density .9 Filter
Schneider 68050844 4x4 Grad. Soft Edge Neutral Density 1.2 Filter

Are these good filters to go with? Are there any I shouldn't get because of what the camera has built-in? Any changes or additional filters I may need? Thanks for the help.

The lowest price I found was at Adorama. Do you think it's overkill? Are there only certain ones that I'll need? Also what's a 1/2 SFX filter for?

Why don't you do some test shoots at your locations first. You shouldn't need any filters for the indoor stuff as you're going to want all the light you can get for that (remember, overlight a bit for panasonic's cameras). For outdoors, try to ND filters on the camera and see how they work. I've never had to use and extra ND filter in my three years over working with the DVX and I doubt the HVX would be any different (since it actually needs more light).

Yeah, I would say the 1.2 ND's are a little overkill. I'd pick up a .3 and .6 in grads and solid, polarizer, and a UV filter for protection. Also, you might want to pick up some diffusion filters if you're script calls for it, but that is also something you can do in post.

CAUTION - i just got burned on a shoot with ND filters on the HVX - using tiffen the dark greens turned dark maroon - and bright whites turned pink. Still not sure why and its stumped everyone I have asked.

So make sure you test the filters before you are in a critical situation.
