Anybody have any good books to recommend that I might buy and study to learn what can be done, how to do it, regarding indie film VFX / CGI? I have an idea for an indie film but it would require VFX/CGI effects, as it would be a supernatural thriller. Guess I need to learn if special video effects could be done on a budget, using After Effects, Blender, etc., and without ten thousand trained monkeys working in on PCs in an underground room. I have Adobe After Effects and am just learning how to use it, made by first special effects with the software (particle swarm) and also used it to make motion graphics titling and end credits, amazing software.
