The Miller Solo legs seems rather expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations of similar legs and quality at a more affordable price?

Thanks

I put together the Benro S8 on a Feisol 3372 with Feisol 75mm half bowl adapter. I’m very impressed with the total build quality and performance of these CF legs. Coming in at 3.84lbs, it’s a little lighter than a Gitzo Systematic 3542 at 4.3lbs. You shave a little on weight—plus saving around $250 (from a comparable Gitzo).

it looks like a decent tripod but not a fan of removing the feet and install the spikes method.
are there any other affordable tripods like that but with the all in one spikes and rubber feet by simply turning the rubber feet. similar to how the miller solo's feet work?

How do these lower cost legs actually compare to the Miller Solo?

The Miller Solo are better, but the Induro may be good enough. I ended up buying the Miller Solo aluminum legs because I liked the heavy-duty construction of the fittings, and did not mind paying more for this. ( there wasn't much weight difference between the aluminum and carbon-fiber models, and the aluminum legs seemed to be as ridgid as the CF models I have used )

Manfrotto recently released an aluminum version of it's popular 535 tripod. The 535 is the same branded tripod offered with the Sachtler Ace L. It's very comparable to the Solo legs. The aluminum version is a bit heavier than the carbon fiber ones but a lot cheaper. Looks like the same design. Just different materials. I have the Solo legs and think they work well. But I actually prefer the fliplock system used on the Manfrottos.

I have decided to give the manfrotto 546b a go. I am after something sturdy and I have read that there is some flexing with the Solo legs. Has anyone tried both manfrotto and miller legs and which have they found to be sturdier and no flexing or twisting?
