recommend "affordable" client viewing monitor for 17"mbp + fcp7?

my editor uses the last gen 17" mbp.

she cuts in fcp7.

she is now looking for a 2nd monitor so her clients can watch her work.

i was thinking about a 24" dell ultrasharp:

can anyone recommend a decent "client-viewing" monitor for $400-ish?

thanks in advance.

be well.

The Dell Ultrasharp monitors are amazing, especially for the price, I use 2 for my workstation at home (U2410's), one of them is hooked up to a matrox for broadcast color (though I can't highly recommend the matrox at this point as it has a slew of problems, and its "hdmi calibration utility" is questionable) but the monitor by itself is great, and gives pretty accurate colors as is

Additionally, you have to consider the client's desires . . . needs. In our experience the client (usually one agency producer) wants to sit next to the editor and be no more than 2' - 3' from the monitor. They want to "supervise" grading and clarity and detail. We have a 24" client monitor and our clients are frequently leaning forward to see greater detail. Depending on your physical layout you might want to consider a larger sized, quality monitor.
Good luck.
