Recommend accessories for the Smallhd dp6!!!

I'm picking up my dp6 sdi version tomorrow to go with my Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Please recommend any must have accessories for the smallhd dp6? What do you guys think about the matte finish protective screens? Does it really help out in the sun and shooting in brightly lit conditions? Any feedback will be much appreciated.
 
yeah, you have to buy the DP6 batteries. I just sold my 5D with all of its batteries, and Forgot my DP6 (with LP E6 mount ) takes only 5D batteries now I have to buy them again ! damn it ! so stupid

Oh that sucks! Sorry man. I know how you feel. I have had my DP6 since last wednesday and as soon as I got it I ordered the battery pack and the shade and I won't be getting it till the 12th. BUMMER!!! I want to use it soooo BAD!
 
I would say the sunshade is an absolute MUST. Also, pick up two of their low profile batteries/chargers. 3 if you want to shoot more than 8 hrs. Sometimes mine won't charge fast enough fully before I have to swap. You will also need some sort of mount to your camera or rig. Depending on what that will be. I would recommend the screen protectors too!
 
I usually run my DP6 with Tekkeon power, and sometimes use a bescor brick, especially if it is on a crane. I have the Panasonic plate also which is real handy if you have that series of batteries. I try to have as few different batteries as possible, it is such a burden adding a new specialty battery to my kit.

Like others have said, the sunshade is essential outdoors and works great, though it is a bit large.

Though not bad, I think the magic arm Small sells is a little light. Light is ok when needed, but when possible, I use a more substantial arm.
