It's good to see the true purpose of xmas, commercialism, is growing stronger every year. Cause we all know that if Jesus was here today, he'd be doing Wal-Mart commercials.

I took all the money I'd have spent on xmas (gifts, decorations, etc.) and made a big donation to the National Kidney Foundation in my recently late mother's honor. And I made it very clear to family/friends who celebrate xmas that if they were going to give me a gift to please take that money and donate it to the same charity in my mother's honor. I bet no one did and just spent the money on some more commercialized xmas stuff.

I also got a good full days work and then some, without the phone ringing off the hook. And a nice nap. Now I can give my client her project a couple of days early, as an xmas present.

Naw, I think He has better tast than wal-mart. Probably Target instead.

I got spiderbrace and a flowpod.... sweet!!!

Looks like the James Bond collection was popular this year. After seeing Casino Royale over the weekend, now I want the old ones.

Actually, I disagree. It is no more commercial than it was 50-60 years ago or more.

And even at that, the commercialism is waaaay overplayed and overreported. Most people delight more in the company of their families and friends, and just the general cheer of the season and traditions, than they do in the gifts. True, that's more a phenomenon of people from their mid-20s and older, but that's the majority . . . and it remains a dependable cycle.

I went to mass xmas eve, and was surprised to find an Irish lad there... this is Tokyo. Thats the most important part for me.

am such a geek, it's horrible. I got Gorilla software also, my son rocks. The most
unbelievable delivery was getting my SGPro adapter ON Christmas day. I can't
believe the post office delivered it, talk about a cool Christmas present.

But alas, spending Christmas with the parents and sister was great, i remember a couple of years ago we were visiting my sister cause she was on leave from IRAQ and the army and eating at a chinese buffet for christmas because it was the only thing open ... this was much better.
