Rebel CC and presets

So I'm probably going to come off as a complete newb, but that's because I am. First time working in After Effects. I've got CS4 and just picked up Rebel CC to start messing around with my footage. I've never installed a preset before, but I extracted the file, put the physical file in my presets folder (I also tried the scripts folder), and nothing -- it's not showing up in my presets menu.

Is that all you need to do to have a preset exist in AE -- place the preset in the preset file? It seems pretty basic to me, but for some reason Rebel CC isn't working.

Thanks!!

Put the .ffx file in the presets subfolder. You may want to create subfolders to organize, as once you get more experienced, you will likely accumulate many presets

You have to refresh the presets list (option in the fly out menu), or restart AE in order to "see" it
