Saw a DVX being used on Branson show the other night, footage looked good as always. They were using it for testimonials in the african safari where these guys had to sleep in the bush alone...damn scary.

i always think about where the camera is. i cant stand it when im watching animal planet or discovery and the host supposadly "stumbles" across some iguana or koala or whatever...i was just watching one where it goes from a shot inside a car driving on a road with the host going...look a koala! to a nicly framed shot of a koala crossing the road with the car stopping in the bg. so lame...imediatly takes me out of the show. also there was this show on about anacondas. and the guy is out looking for giant anacandas. so hes lookin and lookin, then...wut do ya know...theres one....so it goes from the guy going...look an anaconda...to a nicly framed shot of the anaconda with the guy runing over to it. sooo lame!

There had to be a cameraman on the billionare shoot, they were panning and zooming all over the place.

Yes there was panning and zooming shots with nightvision as cut aways.
But the DVX I saw was on sticks, and no operator, I guess the guy just turned it on when he had to do his testimonials. Who knows... is it reality?
