Rear lens cap stuck.

I bought a Nikon Nikkor 35mm F2.8 off eBay and it arrived today. I opened it up and everything looks great - except one thing. I can't check the rear element because the rear lens cap simply won't come off. It seriously just won't budge. I've even put quite a bit of force into it, but any more and I'm afraid I'll destroy the lens as it sits in my hands. Any tricks to getting off a stubborn rear lens cap?

its plastic one ? Can you melt it on sides carefully and then take it off?

It is a plastic one but I'm not sure I trust myself to melt the sides of it so I can take it off. I might just bring it to a cam shop and see what they can do about it. That way if they break it its on them. Right?

I have a set of E series nikkors. The rear lens caps are turned clockwise to remove not counterclockwise.

Thanks for the suggestion but I tried twisting (pretty damn hard) both ways. I'll give it another shot just in case.
