Realtime time remap / recording preview

Is it possible ?

For example ... i would hit some record button and than just using JKL buttons, jog wheel, mouse, whatever ... played video the way i wanted ... i mean this way there could be a lot of crazy, fast time remaps and so ... and it would make a whole new clip ... so basically ... i would record preview monitor ... i havent found any plugin making such a simple fast time remaping possible ... but can i somehow record that preview video output from premiere ? ... i dunno how to handle external playback setting and recording desktop doesnt seem ideal

if you use the DV output or any other external monitoring of your image you can just record DV straight to tape via your computers firewire output. or ..again if you have another external monitoring output such as component HD or HDMI you could just record that on an HD DVR or other computer with live HD ingest capeability. when you click on the scource monitor or the program monitor for that matter, the live video output is switched to the selected monitor. you could do it with either one. but in reality your going to want to fine tune the effect with keyframes and precision timing to really get what you want nailed down, so i would suggest just spending more time with the time remap tools as they are pretty fast once your used to them, then just prerender the resulting clip. its alot faster than reigesting a recorded clip and pulling it into your edit and assembliong it on the timeline or anything like that.
