Really long time lapse dolly shots?

Anyone knows howw to accomplish really long dolly shots in timelapse? Say if instead of 6 feet slider move i wanted 12 or so, what kind of gear i would need to accomplish it?

I think your limiting factor here is the length of track you are able to physically transport.

In my case that would be a single 8 ft length without a joint.

i have 10 or 12 feet. Still what would be the system to set up on those tracks?
I can set up a dana dolly for instance on skewed dolly tracks - where the track can be very very long but how do i power that dolly? Would i set up a motor at the end with one of those ribed tapes?

The Kessler Shuttlepod w/ their motion control system will do the trick. I've done a bunch of timelapse dolly moves with the 12' kit, but there should be no limit to the length of move you can do if you get more track and a longer belt for the motor. It's pretty reasonably priced too.
