so ive been looking for a place to stay for a long time. 1st i was gonna go w/ a littlte condo in a high rise, but the space was just to small. and i thought about what someone said on the board about "not sharing my walls w/ neighbors". anyways, im looking at a new place! tell me what you think about it.

i plan to stay in a house until i graduate and then sell it sometime after that. i should be finished w/ school within a year or so. hopefully the equity will be a good amount, since im close to the airport, new freeway being built about a block down, malls, etc...

Aaron, check this link (dallascad.org). If it is the house you are linking to you might want to try and get them down in price. Taxable value is 169,000 (though this does not necessarily reflect the actual value of the house). Other than that it looks really nice.

Great space. Lots of room.

But you're planning on moving (and selling) in about a year???

Common wisdom in house buying is that you have to be in a house for AT LEAST 2-4 years (depending on location) before you get your money back. That's because of closing costs and other fees that you have to recoup.

Owning doesn't always make more sense.
