Really not true at all -- virtual tours absolutely DO move homes, in fact the market uses them all of the time. They are a huge selling tool, almost every real estate agent uses them from time to time. It's a pretty saturated market, that's actually the biggest problem.
And there doesn't seem to be a lot of room for high-end work there.
