I’m having issues with my close vision and seeing my lcd clearly. Can anyone recommend OTC bifocal sunglasses for outdoor shooting? I need ones that won’t affect my ability to judge color/contrast too much, which I guess is a tall order

I don't have any specific recommendations for you - but, in general, I've been building custom prescription glasses from this place for about 5-6 years (and I've increased the strengths myself over the years).

Purchased a pair of prescription running/cycling glasses before the summer and used them almost every day.

Those you'd have to find with an optometrist. I got a special pair of sunglasses that let me see far away since I am near sighted.

Edit: The are polarized, some you do get a different "look" on the LCD screen pending it's rotation.

You can buy plastic reader inserts for the lower half of the sunglasses. I have prescription sunglasses that are wrap-arounds for motorcycle riding. They were a specialty item and they did not come in bifocal. I just ordered a set of half-round magnifiers for the bottom half. That way, you can select the strength you want. You just wet them and set them in place and they stay there permanently.
