Re: Walters new DVD?
If you have been to my seminars then you know my style of no bull, just fast and simple solutions that look like you spent a million bucks. Now take that approach and make very specific short 10-15 minute disks that talk very specifically about how to do this or that. Problem is folks brush over everything and try to teach it all but teach little about what counts, simply how to do it, no bull, no theory, just show me the money. Take that post about lighting a dining room scene on here. Now imagine being able to buy a lesson on just that. Or how about a person reading at night in a bed. Or maybe a scene in a car with two folks driving. Or a headhsot. Or a green screen. The point is very specific lessons that cut through the clutter and give you a diagram and an explanation of why, not a lesson on how to. So for $20 bucks you learn everything you need to know about lighting a dining room scene, with diagrams, a walk through as I do it like watching Norm on This Old House, shots of individual lights on and off so that you can see what everything does in real time. Nothing like it out there and even if there was, its all about how you approach it and who's teaching. So a catalog of 100 different short programs you can get as a DVD and online and light like a 20 year veteran or at least have an advantage.
So send me any ideas that you would like to see. As many as you can think of. If I pick your idea you get a free copy of that disk. Send to dvdideas@bluesky-web.com then get ready as I reinvent the way we teach production.
