re: question for the DVX G-ds

Hi,

Does anyone know of any feature films, documentary or otherwise, that have been shot on the DVX and released for distribution in theaters? Are there many or a few? I still have time to decide what I'm going to shoot on...I know HD is preferred, but it is a lot more expensive...I have my sights set on the panasonic dvx100B. I'm a one man show, doing a documentary, shooting for six months to a year, doing interviews and following action, grant money involved, have intention to submit to big festivals, and hope for distribution deal.

Thanks,

Brian

Yes there have been several, search around. Just off the top of my head, the following are DVX films that played threatrically: November, The Aristocrats, Mad Hot Ballroom, Murderball, and 9 Songs.

And "In a Scanner, Darkly," but it was rotoscoped into animation, so it's probably not necessarily what you're asking for. But it was a major studio release shot on the DVX.
