Re: Premiere Pro (MPE) // Cuda vs Matrox Mojito, vs Bluefish444

If running Premiere Pro (MPE) is there an advantage of using the Matrox Mojito or Bluefish444 (any differences?) rather than using CUDA?

Cuda seems to be the cheapest option for realtime playback and accelerated encoding, but is there any advantages?

The MPE only leverages CUDA or AMD OpenCL. If your GPU doesn't run on either of those, the MPE will run in software-only mode and the hardware will give you no advantage.

The Matrox & Bluefish devices are for connecting to a broadcast monitor. Cuda accelerates the MPE. They do completely different things. It's not an either/or situation.

So what advantages does Matrox Mojito and Bluefish444 bring to the table in terms of our editing experience?

If I am looking for a smoother, reduced lag in my editing experience, would the Mojito and Bluefish444 help with this?

No; they're input/output cards. They're also serious bank; if smoother, reduced-lag workflow is what you're after, you're better off putting those stacks toward CPU, GPU, and RAM.
