Re: PP to FCPX

Re: PP to FCPX

I am frustated with Premiere Pro and how it conforms audio into a separate track (it frequently loses the audio track), therefore i am thinking of moving to FCPX.

What would be tbe disadvantages/advantages of moving to FCPX?

Hmm... I'm editing on Premiere since 8 years now, and never had any issues with audio. That being said, I think it really doesn't make a big difference anymore. I saw shitty projects which have been edited on PR and gorgeous ones that have been edited on FCPX and vice versa. I'd say go with what you feel more comfortable with. The biggest advantage of Adobe's apps is definitely the Directlink/Dynamiclink engine between apps, speeds things up a lot. depends if you work a lot in Aftereffects or not, and of course FCPX and Motion do have an equivalent engine as well.
