And yes, I know the images would not be horizontal if it was for real  :P  Heres an example in webpage style:

Is this looking cool or is looking like arse? Currently, it is same banner minus sprockets. But Im thinking of changing. I need the opinions...

Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Looks cool. Very clean and professional. Although I would move the sun/lensflare just a little in each frame, so it appears as though it's actual cells from the animated logo.

Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Thats a great idea P.K. I will def do that this week. Good detail call.

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner

No problem. I can't make my own stuff look good, but I sure love to criticize other peoples beautiful work. ;)

Also, I know you said you were removing the sprockets, but what if you just made them much darker? As you probably already noticed, they're distracting from the logo because they're the brightest objects. The sprockets should stay, just fade them into the black more. I'll send you an example.

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Looks great. I second P.K.'s suggestions. One thing, I find the text in the links a bit hard to read. If they were bigger or maybe just kerned a little more, I think that would help.

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Tks Frizzle. I noticed that too. (Your talking about the hyperlink images?). Kerning will Round them or smooth them? Ill do this too!

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Kerning will increase the space between characters. (Yes, the hyperlinks--bio, reel, etc.) Are you using Photoshop?

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner

Yes and No :P

At work it is PaintS and at home PhotoS

Its all JPEGS to me :D

Slightly adjusted:

btw, @30 fps, the motion will be too slight to bother with for 5 frames.

Re: Opinion on Website Banner

My only thing would be if you use an actually image of a real film strip. Just an idea. Other than that it looks cool. Sweet n Simple.  :)

Re: Re: Opinion on Website Banner
