Re: Ogio 2 Cam Backpack

So here's my problem. I'm sure you've noticed a fellow user is selling a sweet Ogio Ty Evans 2 on the marketplace right now. I would love to scoop it up. My question (hopefully someones got a factual answer for) is that I plan on doing some travels and I'm wondering if this bag is accepted as a carry on item. The pics make it seem kind of hefty and big. Does anyone have any traveling experiences with this one. Thanks.

it is a very large bag, i would think it would be fine as a carry on (its about the same size as a small suitcase) i would check the airlines requirements and the dimensions of the bag, some airlines have different sizes that they accept. but i do not believe you will have a problem.

thanks for the heads up and I appreciate the info. I would love it if someone has had some experience with this bag and actually been flying with it.

I do, I do! I flew to Philly last week with mine and I used it for a big trip to Scotland and England last year. It is fine for overhead. The only thing to consider it that it is too large for smaller commuter jets, the ones with the little tiny overheads.

Also, you should know, while this backpack holds a ton of gear, it is definitely the most uncomfortable and torturous device I have ever used. The CineBags CB-22 holds almost as much but is much more comfortable.

Ahhh Puredrifting, a most note worthy advice. Yeah, I'll be taking an HVX, a few batteries, Sennheiser ME66 mic with capsule, Nikon SLR and 2 lenses. But yeah I love the advice on looking at different brands. Thanks you.

if you're referring to my post in the classifieds, I may or may not still be selling it, OGIO said they'd give me 50% off a new bag if i send it in, but if i can find a cheaper used on i'll still have it for sale.

as for your question, I know a lot of people that have brought these on planes, it's just the size of a book bag, shouldn't have any problems.
