That looks like a pretty good tripod for the price. I'd say go for it.

I have the very same fluid head, also bought from ebay. It is an excellent head, and the sticks look good as well. For most things, I stay far away from ebay, however, you do find the occasional gem. Now, if I were you I'd get rid of the link and keep it to yourself.

Congratulations! Enjoy your new sticks. That was one hell of a deal.

So which tripod and head was that? Looking around at the moment to buy one, but the choice is overwhelming from Vinten, Sachtler, Manfrotto/Bogen, Libec. Any other good makes to add to the list?

I like the sachtler personally. I bought the bogen and i'm getting FANTASTIC footage with it but it's SO DAMN HEAVY AND BIG.
The Sachtler seems to be the ligther of the two and the Sachtler's 1x1 step DV II tripod is perfect for the DVX with a mattebox.
The good things aabout the bogen: you can later mount the HEAVY head to a skypod or a jib or things of that nature and it will be very stable. Hell I might sell my Bogen just because I'm building so much muscles lugging that thing around!
The only thing to be careful when purchasing the tripod used is that the fluid head has been maintained properly. What does the setup come with? Spreaders? A tripod cases? A carrying case? The bogen has these tracks with wheels you can put the tripod right on top and use as like a studio dolly.
Despite all the accessorizing possible with the Bogen I still love Sachtlers! That's my two bits.
