I worked for a talent agency in Dallas. It's not hard at all to get people guys and girls. It doesn't make it right! Can we please bring this out of the gutter? Just because it is lined with gold, does not make it smell any better!!! :-[

It's not art.

I hear that. The film THE COOLER originally was given an NC-17 rating due to the extreme sexual scenes. They had to cut it to make it a R.

I think it has it's plac and if used within the context of the story or characters and not gratuitous (spell?) it can be cool.

Theres nothing worse than a lesbian film ala womens studies. Unles its the kind being discussed up above. LOL

its my sincere hope that people like us can introduce some real art back into the cess pool filled minds of today.

Re: Ever have one of those days?

Horray! The film makers are back! T&A sells no dought about that. There is that fine line between making art and making money. That also is the challange! 8)

Re: Ever have one of those days?

true, but im not sure its really a challenge for an artist to create art.. a real artist lives and breaths art.. it pours from their lips and sits in their stomachs like sweet honey. they wake up and see the dew on the lilly, and fall asleep listening to the crickets chirp. most artists sanity depends on their ability to express the world within.
it is the "capitolists" which try to mimic art , when really they are conformed to the twisted money making machinery that was once an artform. and we give breath to the machine, and we drink its sour vomit. and it has consumed us.

herein lies the perplex for the artist .. what good is art if none should see? should i let what i have dreamed be proccessed by the machine in order that it would be spit out over the earth, and that even a remnant of it should remain beautiful, and be seen by many... ----or should i hold it up as high as my own arms can reach, and show those who would have eyes to see what true art is.

the money...ohhh the money.. yes . that it would rot in the pit of our stomachs if it were heaved from the bowels of the machine, and covered in its stench, and we have our fill untill it runs from our mouths, and chokes us in its filth.

and the empty road ahead for the puritan .. that they would stay true to what their dreams have shared, and their eyes stay dimly lit with the fire that is slowly snuffed by the soot the machine throws out from its massive furnace. and we yearn for a drop of hope. until we die. because all other eyes are mezmerized by the fiery smoke and sparks from the mouth of the machine.

a stroke of luck would find us somewhere inbetween. such an interesting way to live... such a fine line to walk indeed.

Unfortunately, the state of "art" in general for the last 20 years has been pure shock value, and generally the more offensive, the more it's applauded.

My 2 cents

I think if the human form can be shown in a respectful and creative light it can define and transform our interpration of light and shadow and bueaty. To uphold itself aesthetically from the bottomless pit of....well, yuck.

Re: Ever have one of those days?

Re: Ever have one of those days?

Going back to the finding people is easy thing....

I was in a local shop a few days ago purchasing some paintballs, *it was a nice day and we were itching to shoot each other*

Any ways I didnt have enough cash on me so I gave the girl my credit card,

Now the credit card is a buisness card and sais for the card holder name...  Vampiar Entertainment ....

So she looks at my card for a second and stares at it.... she then gives it back to me and waits for the reciept to print out...

as the reciept is printing out she sais, so what do you own your own Entertainment company or something, ... and I said, well its my film company, and then she said.... What do you make pornos or something.....

And before I said no no... my buddy butted in and said " Nah, we dont have enough money for that"  .. hehe  anyways I could kinda tell she was asking that cause she wanted to make a porn or something...

Dunno just thought it would be something funny considering the nature of the this thread.....
