Re-aligning the Letus?

Hey,

So I'm no tech wiz or anything, however I need a bit of tech help and would be most appreciative.

I lent my Letus to a friend for his short recently (I did odd jobs, boom, backup etc) and it turned out well.

The thing is, unbeknown to me, the camera op has fiddled with the Letus and I need to know how to get it back to how it should be.

What he's done is do something with the tilt so that the GG is no longer horizontal, in essence it's wonky/slopes to one side.

I remember at the time him complaining because, in his words, the measurements for focusing didn't actually measure up to reality so he was having to do some maths to get the right focus. So I don't really know how focusing should be with the Letus as I do on the spot eye focusing.

But either way I need to get the thing level and then if there's something focus wise I need to fix then that too.

Any suggestions please?

Cheers

1) Your backfocus is off, which is why the distance marks on the lens is off. There are several home remedies that may be found doing a quick search on the forums.

2) To get the GG horizontal, screw the Letus on as far as it will go, then undo the 3 screws that attach the thread ring to the Letus body and align it. You know - just like you did when you received it.

Because the threads on the front of the camera lens usually differ, you need to adjust those three screws everytime you change cameras. Get used to it.
