How do I use rotobrush to separate the talent and the background so I can adjust the color separately for both?

Currently I can only do the talent or the background but not both.

Ah nevermind I figured it out, we have to use two layers. One rotobrush and the other not rotobrush.

How do you analyse forward with rotobrush. Do you hit the num pad 0 or spacebar?

What I've read and what I've also used is advance frame by frame. You're already in the Paint window, right? You ought to be that and FULL Res. there is a little <<<||>>> looking bar in the Paint window timeline. You can grab the >> or the << and drag it to whatever time you'll want to process, for instance you're in the middle of the <<||>> area and you want to drag it 20 seconds to the right or future. Just grab the >> area and drag it to the 20 seconds advance.

When using the roto brush it is really important to get a good base to start. so plan on zooming in, even to pixel level if needed to give a good base reference for the program. Then advance frame by frame to ensure the lines stay where you intended. Adjust lines as necessary.

I also should have mentioned that I use Page down or page up depending on which direction I'd like to advance. Also Shift+ Pageup/pagedown will advance or retard you five frames.
