Raynox wide angle lenses

I recently went to the dvexpo here in L.A. and was introduced to the Raynox conversion lens booth. Interested in trying the HD-6600 or HD 7000 series of lense adaptor to mount in front of my 52mm size Nikkor lenses in order to get a wider POV. Possibly to achieve a more 2:35:1 feel when cropping in post. Anyone used these adapters? List any problems if so or recommendations. My setup is listed below. I use Nikkor AI and AIS manual primes.

The adapters themselves aren't bad, but to add glass over glass is just a huge lost of quality.
Get a wider lens instead.
That said, the wide angle, fish eye or tele adapters are meant to be used on fix camera lenses (consumer).

those adapters over 50mm lenses and such are like shooting through the magic eye in your door.

I ordered the HD6600pro

Well I just ordered the HD6600pro to see what happens. If it does what I think it can do on a 50mm lens and still be clear on the sides without any vignetting. Then I will be happy vs using my 24mm and 28mm lenses that tend to be too far away from the subject to be useful. Especially when shooting closer to the subject.

might aswell try to shoot without adapter

edited: oh i see where you are going, you want wider frame, but shallow depth of field.
you will get some, but too soft edges

That was my worry till I've read from many reviews that the edges were pretty firm and not that soft. I would have to do my own tests to see if it is true. Either way..I bought it with a stepup ring so I can still use it on my HV20 since the wide on that camera is very limited.
