Raylight Ultra import problem

Well I emailed sales@dvfilm but maybe because my partner registered under his email I'm being filtered out:

What happens is this - I drag and drop mxf files into vegas off the Firestore (or the harddrive I've backed the files up to) and the audio track DOES get created. However, the audio is just a sliver at the beginning actually a little ahead of the video track itself. And the audio track is blank.

This happens for all imports, yes I have tried multiple files that do and do not have audio. Raylight seems to think the audio belongs in front of the video and that there isn't that much of it.

I figure it might be something like Framework 2 or some missing file that Raylight Ultra takes for granted that I have. Nothing in the readme addressed problems such as this, just situations where you would rename the mxf plugin folder.

I tried that to.

To summarize: Raylight Ultra imports my video but fails to import the audio. Dropping and dragging the audio by itself causes Vegas to freeze or shut down.

I have been using the Raylight standalone converter but that is not what I want to do. Thanks in advance.

Hey Knoxworth,

It may have something to do with the P2 contents folder structure or naming convention since it came from a Firestore.

You should contact DVFilm Support to get a quicker response.
Here's the link to the support page (once there click the support request link): http://dvfilm.com/support.htm

Best,
Andy

Did you do the "organize P2" step on the FireStore? If not, I'd expect this exact behavior, so see if your FireStore's directory has the full P2 directory structure (CONTENTS->VIDEO/AUDIO/PROXY/CLIP/ICON etc)

No David, I don't own any P2s at the moment.

Andy/Barry, thanks I'm going to test shoot something and try that right now.
