Raylight Codec doesn't like Firestore?

OK, I just unloaded my first batch of video clips to my hard drive from the Firestore. All of the MXF files played fine in the P2 Viewer. BUT, about half of the clips would not render with the Raylight codec. The Raymaker would get an error while trying to convert the files. I have been using the Raylight codec for some time now, so I am pretty confident that I am not doing anything wrong. I don't understand why some of the clips worked, and some didn't. Anyone else having this problem?

I just shot a second batch of clips (to send to DVFilm) and this time none of them would convert. I hope there is a simple solution. I just sent them an email, I'll let you know what I find.

In the meantime, is anybody else having problems with this?

I only use raylight from p2 mxf and it works perfectly. I'm having rendering troubles with PP2 and Adobe Media Encoder1- No satisfactory QT output unless it's very small2- Random macroblocking when outputting PP2 and AE through a dynamic link in wmv 720 3- No avi or dv avi output to be recognized by Squeeze on ProcoderIt's surely something I do wrong but let me tell you that doing researches on how to render properly its devastating for my frail brain.

DVFilms responded to my email yesterday. They are looking into it.

Version 1.05c is now online for RayMaker, required to fix the bug with Firestore MXF files. Also automatically detects and skips over repeated frames when capturing other frame rates (e.g.30P, 24P etc) in a 720-60P or 720-50P data stream.

Impressive support! and thanx for this thread. I'm now confident to order raylight when my firestore arrives!

Just downloaded the new version of Raylight with the new RayMaker. Everything works smoothly now with the FS-100.

when rendering out of combustion, and even when ive been using the pc for a while or watching footage back allot, the footage eventualy will keep rendering out of combustion say. and it will be all grey, the sound will still be there with a grey screen with a watermark in the centre saying NO DATA. its strange, to fix it and be able to watch raylight avi's again i have to reboot and then it will work. Any ideas or anyone else having this problem?

An hour into rendering and u come back to see in the preview grey screen , to later find out that u actualy only rendered 30 mins of non NO DATA footage gets lame after a while.

plz help if u can otherwise il consult the guys at Dvfilm
